Even after COVID-19 jab, 2 doctors test positive in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Amidst the resurge in COVID-19 cases, two doctors of the Capital Hospital here have tested positive for the deadly virus. Reportedly, both the doctors had received the COVID-19 vaccine jab.

As per information, one doctor of Orthopedic Department and another from Medicine Department of the Government-run hospital have contracted the virus. They have been kept under isolation.

“Antigen test of all those who had come in contact with the doctors has been conducted and all of them have tested negative for the virus. However, we will again send there swap samples for RT-PCR test,” informed hospital Director Laxmidhar Sahoo.

It is pertinent to mention here that the state capital is witnessing a steep rise in positive cases with over 100 cases being reported for the last couple of days.
