Even death could not part this couple in Odisha!

On seeing her husband Gurucharan Mohanty dead his wife also closed her eyes and both were burnt in the same pyre in Mahadeijoda panchayat, Keonjhar district of Odisha.

Resident of  Mahadeijoda panchayat Mahanti sahi, Mohanty (68), had fasted on April 13 on Pana Sankranti day. Unable to take the strain, he fell ill the next day and was admitted to the Keonjhar district hospital for treatment.

Doctors were unable to save him and he closed passed away in the hospital under treatment. The body was brought back home and on seeing his dead body  his wife Tulsi fell down unconsious.

While she was being taken to the district hospital for treatment the heartbroken woman breathed her last.

Grieving relatives returned back home and both the husband and wife were burnt in the same pyre.
