Everest climber of Odisha ready to scale Kanchenjunga

Bhubaneswar, Mar 23: Ganesh Chandra Jena, the first climber from Odisha to scale Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain peak, has embarked on another mission to scale Mount Kanchenjunga.

The 42-year-old mountaineer of Gajapati district would begin his month-long journey from April 1 to scale the world’s third highest pick (8586 metre).

Jena came to when he scaled Mount Everest in the 2011.

Later in 2012, he along with a visually challenged team tracked the Stok Kangri mountain range.

He had also participated in the Everest Marathon last year.
