Explosion at crackers manufacturing unit kills three in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: A major explosion at a crackers manufacturing unit killed at least three persons and left two others critically injured in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, today.

The mishap took place at Madhuri Bazaar under Balikuda police limits in the district at around 1.15 PM.

The injured ones were initially rushed to the Jagatsinghpur District Headquarters Hospital and later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their condition deteriorated.

According to reports, an outbreak of fire led to the explosion at the crackers manufacturing unit.

While three persons were charred to death in the blaze, two others sustained critical burn injuries.

On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot, doused the flames and rescued the victims.
