Explosion on road in Odisha’s Kalahandi; Maoist involvement suspected

Bhawanipatna, Mar 3:
An explosion took place on Jugasaipatna road in Odisha’s Kalahandi district last night resulting in formation of a crater.

Though the reason behind the blast was yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that Maoists might have planted landmines which led to the explosion on the road.
According to reports, the incident occurred moments after a marriage procession vehicle crossed the spot.
No casualties have been reported in the explosion.
Police reached the spot and started investigation.
