Facebook love lands youth in jail in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Sep 17:
The Twin City Commissionerate police yesterday arrested a youth for allegedly torturing a minor girl and forcing her to commit suicide.

According to reports, Sidheswar Sahu (22) of Barbil, an engineering student in Khurda, came in contact with the girl studying in 9th standard at an English medium school here via Facebook.
Both of them started talking and meeting with each other on a regular basis and fell in love in no time.
A few days ago, the girl consumed poison after a heated exchange of words with the youth and fell ill.
After knowing all the matter, the girl’s family lodged a complaint with the Infocity police in this regard. On the basis of the complaint, police arrested the accused.
