Fate of Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal hangs in Balance!

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court (HC) today asked authorities concerned to maintain status quo in respect of construction work of the much-hyped Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal (CNBT) at Khannagar here.

Hearing a petition, the HC ruled that few portion of the land identified for the proposed project belongs to a temple of Goddess Kali and any kind of demolition and construction work cannot be carried out on the site.

The court also directed the administration to maintain status quo of all movable and immovable property of the temple.

Worth mentioning, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had laid foundation stone for  the project on  the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 23.
