Fake currency worth nearly Rs 2 lakh seized, 1 arrested in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

The accused, identified as Tushar Kumar Biswal (31) of Kachrisahi village on Deogarh district, was nabbed from Rathapada village within Dhenkanal Sadar police limits. 

Dhenkanal: The Special Task Force with help from the local police has arrested one person for his alleged involvement in circulation of counterfeit currency notes and seized fake notes worth Rs 1.96 lakh from his  possession in Dhenkanal district of Odisha here today. The accused, identified as Tushar Kumar Biswal (31) of Kachrisahi village on Deogarh district, was nabbed from Rathapada village within Dhenkanal Sadar police limits.

As per reports, during search, fake indian currency notes (FICN) worth Rs 1,90,600 and other incriminating articles were seized from the possession of the accused. A case has been registered in Dhenkanal Sadar police station and further investigation is underway.
