Fake notes of face value Rs 3.5 lakh seized from Sonepur in Odisha; 2 detained

Odisha police seized fake currency notes of the face value of Rs 3.5 lakh at Kunja Chhak in Sonepur district last night and detained two persons in this connection.

Sources said, Rs 2 lakh in denomination of Rs 2,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh in denomination of Rs 500 were seized from the duo.

The two were caught by police when they were on their way to Soneour from Boudh with the counterfeit notes, sources added.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
