In a shocking incident, a person was allegedly hacked to death by his wife and son at Sarsara village in Bonai area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district late last night over a family dispute after he asked for money to buy liquor.
The deceased was identified as Lochana Munda. Police have detained the mother-son duo, identified as Hema and Chakra, for interrogation.
According to reports, Lochana asked for Rs 50 from Hema to consume liquor to which the latter denied and subsequently an exchange of words ensued between the two.
Their son Chakra supported his mother and opposed Lochana for creating row.
Getting furious over it, Lochana attacked his wife and son with an axe.
In a bid to save themselves, Chakra and Hema snatched the axe from Lochana and hacked him to death on the spot.
On being informed by villagers about the incident, Tikayatpalli police reached the spot, seized the bodies for post-mortem and started investigation by detaining the two.
