Family health insurance for scribes in Odisha

It was the turn of the scribes on Tuesday to be  on the receiving side of the ongoing pre-election shower of sops to woo various segments of society, with the Odisha government announcing family health insurance cover for journalists in the state.

A proposal to this effect was approved by chief minister Naveen Patnaik here.

Under the new announcement, journalists and and four of their family members would be entitled to health insurance coverage plan of Rs 1 lakh per annum.
