Female elephant dies at Odisha’s Nandankanan zoo

Bhubaneswar: Female elephant ‘Julie’ died at the Nandankanan Zoological Park on the outskirts of Odisha capital, today.

The pachyderm was suffering from ailments and undergoing treatment at the zoo. However, she breathed her last in the afternoon.

The animal was rescued from a forest in Dhenkanal district in 2009 and kept at the zoo since then.
