FICCI FLO launches ‘Mann Ki Shanti’

Bhubaneswar:  One of the foremost concerns emerging from different aspects of COVID-19 is its impact on mental health.

Women’s wing of FICCI ( FLO), in partnership with Manam Foundation recently launched, ‘Mann Ki Shanti’ its free counseling service to any mental related issues for those affected by Covid-19 and also the public at large . 

The event was virtually inaugurated by Monica Nayyar Patnaik, Chairperson, FICCI Odisha State Council. She appreciated the efforts of FLO and also told that this is the time where we should do all possible for the people in need. This initiative was the need of the hour, she added.

Anuradha Mahapatra, the founder and trustee of Manam Foundation also spoke on the occasion. She has been doing this under her trust and was very happy to be associated with FLO, Bhubaneshwar for this noble initiative.

CS Sunita Mohanty, Chairperson FLO Bhubaneshwar said that not only physical health is important but also mental health wellness is also required. In these difficult times not only the corona positive patients but normal people and also children were going through a tough time and facing mental health issues in the current pandemic and lockdown situation. We are here to be with each other at these hard times and am sure that each one of us agrees that mental peace is the most important thing now to get out of stress, frustration, restlessness and loneliness etc. This service will be available pan India where certified councillors will be counselling people who are in need at this point of time, she stated..
