FICCI’s women wing signs tripartite MoU for skill development of girls

Bhubaneswar: FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), the women wing of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) signed a tripartite MoU with Humara Bachpan Trust (HBT) and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Bhubaneswar to provide skill development training  to underprivileged girls in industrial sectors.

Under the partnership, Humara Bachpan Trust will mobilize girls living in urban poor communities of Bhubaneswar while  ITI will deploy their core competencies to offer skill development training programme .  FLO members will mentor and conduct various workshops with the students to build their confidence, competencies and capacities.

This will facilitate employable skill training to the young girls empowering them by developing their interpersonal skills.

Speaking on the occasion, FICCI FLO Bhubaneswar Chapter Chairperson Dharitri Patnaik said, “FICCI FLO is empowering women by enhancing their livelihood opportunities. With the aim of upgrading technical skills of girls and creating an employable pool of skilled women power and as part of FLO’s national initiative- Adopt ITI Programme, FLO Bhubaneswar chapter has taken this step of collaborating with ITI and HBT”.

Bhubaneswar ITI Principal Jeetamitra Satpathy said, “Through this partnership, we hope to reach out to hundreds of aspirants to provide the much-needed skill edge under different domains.”

This tripartite partnership will endeavour to identify employable young girls and train them on specific skills to make them industry ready and support them to become successful entrepreneurs, said HBT Executive Director Arpita Pattnaik.
