FIR lodged against Odisha ADG’s daughter slapped by traffic cop

Bhubaneswar: A day after a woman traffic constable slapped the daughter of an ADG of police here, the former today filed a complaint at the Capital police station in connection with the incident.

Bhoi alleged that the daughter of ADG of Railways and Coastal Security Pranabindu Acharya misbehaved with her after violating traffic rules yesterday. Following the complaint lodged by Constable Puspalata Bhoi, a case has been registered under Sections 341,294,353 and 34 of the IPC.

Acting on the complaint, police have started an investigation and are examining the CCTV footage of the incident.

On Thursday evening, the ADG’s daughter had accused the constable of slapping her after stopping her car at the traffic post near AG square.
