Fire mishap: Man burnt alive inside bus in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A person was charred to death in a bus after fire broke out inside the vehicle at Samantarapur village under Ghatagaon police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district late last night.

The mishap took place around 2.30 AM when the bus, after carrying kin and friends of a groom from the bride’s house, was parked at the groom’s village.

While all occupants of the bus had alighted, the deceased, identified as Rajesh Giri, slept inside the vehicle. Unfortunately, fire broke out and engulfed the entire bus damaging it severely. The person was burnt alive inside the bus.

On being informed, Fire personnel reached the spot and doused the flames. Police have started investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances under which the fire mishap took place.
