First cut-off marks for Plus II admissions out in Odisha

The first phase cut-off mark percentage for admissions to the three streams of Plus II in different junior colleges across Odisha was published today.

The BJB Junior College has emerged as the most sought after college in the state with the highest cut-off marks percentages.

While the first phase cut-off mark percentage for Science stream of BJB Junior College is 93.10, for Arts stream it is 72.67 and for Commerce stream, it is 81.70.

Similarly, the cut-off mark percentage for Ravenshaw Junior College in the Science stream is 93, while for Arts stream it is 71.17 and for Commerce stream, it is 79.50.

Besides, the first phase cut-off mark percentage for Ramadevi Junior College in the Science stream is 85.67, for Arts stream it is 68.83 and for Commerce, it is 67.67.

Again,the first phase cut-off marks percentage of Berhampur-based Khallikote Junior College for Science stream is 87.67, for Arts stream it is 63.66 and for Commerce stream, it is 68.

The Balasore-based F M College’s first phase cut-off marks percentage for Science stream is 86.17, Arts stream it is 71.50 and for Commerce, it is 52.83.

The first phase cut-off marks percentage of city based Rajdhani Junior College for Science stream is 83.60, for Arts stream it is 66.83 and for Commerce stream, it is 67.67.

There is a total of 1,544 Plus II colleges in the state with 4, 04,059 seats. A total of 4, 04,581 applicants have sought admission in Plus II courses this year.

In the first phase, students will get admitted to their choice colleges from June 16 to 21.

The second phase cut-off marks percentage will be published on June 25. The second phase admissions will take place from June 27 to 29.

The third phase cut-off marks percentage will be announced on July 4. Admissions for this phase will take place from July 8 to 9.

Classes will begin on July 14, said Higher Education department admission in-charge Mihir Kumar Das.

It is mandatory for the students to take admission in their designated colleges, failing which they will be excluded from the e-admission for this academic session, Das added.

However, at the time of admissions students interested in changing their college can mark alternate colleges, he pointed out.

Das said to provide information about the admission process we have SMS facilities, e-mail, mobile application and also a helpline number which students can use to get the status of their application.
