Five-year-old twins drown in pond

Kalahandi: Mystery shrouds the death of young twin brothers in Mahaling village under Golamunda block in Kalahandi district today.

The five-year-old deceased, Piyush Sahu and Yash Sahu were found floating in the village pond in unconscious state this morning. Some villagers initially spotted the twin brothers and fished them out from the pond.

Critical Piyush and Yash were rushed to the nearby hospital where doctor referred them to the Bhawanipatna Hospital. They were declared dead by doctor at the Bhawanipatna Hospital.

Father of the twin Rohit Sahu and villagers have not been able to comprehend how the two five-year-olds entered the village pond.
