Flood-like situation in Odisha’s Kalahandi, Nabarangpur

Dharmagarh/Nabarangpur: Incessant rainfall due to low pressure has created flood-like situation in Odisha’s Nabarangpur and Kalahandi districts.

Water level in Chikili river has increased in Nabarangpur due to heavy rain in upper catchment.

Water was seen flowing over roads at three places in the district leading to disruption of road connectivity between Nabarangpur-Raipur and Nabarangpur-Bhawanipatna.

On the other hand, a 10-feet breach formed in Indravati canal near Ghenuguda in Kalahandi district following which water entered into four villages, reports said.

Road communication between Mukhiguda and Jayapatana in the district has been cut off, reports added.
