Footwear showroom manager dies by suicide in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Manager of a footwear showroom allegedly died by suicide at Dayanand Nagar in Bomikhal area of Odisha capital late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Arvind Baghel (35) of Ahmedabad. He was working as the manager of Regal Shoes showroom located inside the Esplanade One mall in the city and residing at Dayanand Nagar.

His body was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside the house.

According to reports, he had availed loan from various finance companies and was under stress to repay it. It is being suspected that he took the extreme step of ending his life over the matter.

The Laxmisagar police have registered an unnatural death case in this connection. The post-mortem will be carried out after the arrival of the deceased’s family members in Bhubaneswar.
