Forest fire engulfs village in Odisha; 60 families rendered homeless

At least 60 families were rendered homeless in Odisha’s Boudh district after a major fire outbreak in their village.

As many as 110 houses belonging to 60 families of Jhankarpada village under Sagada panchayat were reduced to ashes in a fire that spread from the nearby forest and engulfed the entire village, reports said.

Properties worth lakhs were destroyed in the fire, reports added.
