The BSE extended the last date till midnight of November 12 instead of the earlier announced date of November 5, informed Siddhartha Dhal secretary BSE here today.

The online filling up of forms which began on October 28 was to end on November 5 midnight.

The extension was allowed keeping in mind the interest of students following reports of filling up of forms affected in some places due to power disruptions and server failures, BSE sources said.

Dhal said the extended date will be also applicable to examinees of Diploma in Elementary Education (D El Ed) and correspondence courses.

Notably, the BSE has introduced online filling up of the annual HSC examination forms for the first time in the state.

The examination will be conducted from February 22, 2016. Around 6, 03, 578 students would take the Matriculation Examination-2016.

Moreover, the BSE has planned to send marks awarded in answer-sheets from the evaluation centres to the result processing firm online to ensure more transparency in evaluation of answer-sheets and also to make the tabulation process error-free, revealed sources in the BSE.

It may be mentioned that the students who would appear in the annual board examination have already been enrolled online. Only filling up of the forms is left.
