Former DGP Abhay appointed OSSC Chairperson

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today appointed former DGP and retired IPS Abhay as Chairperson of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).

As per a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Abhay’s tenure as the OSSC Chairperson will be for a period of five years from the date of taking charge of the post or till he attains the age of 62 years whichever is earlier.

Abhay has been appointed as the OSSC Chairperson in accordance with the provisions of rule-3 of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Members) Rules, 1995.

The notification further mentioned the salaries and allowances payable to Abhay as the OSSC Chairperson and conditions of service by which he will be governed, shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Members) Rules, 1995 as amended from time to time.
