Former Odisha Chief Secretary LI Parija passes away

Cuttack: Former Chief Secretary of Odisha Lalat Indu Parija passed away at a private hospital in silver city Cuttack today. He was 89.

According to reports, he died after a cardiac arrest.

Parija, son of eminent scientist  Prana Krushna Parija (Botanist), was appointed as the Chief Secretary twice during his service. He had served the state as the chief of bureaucracy for the period of one month from March 1, 1983 to April 1, 2983, and again for over a year from January 1, 1986 to August 5, 1987.

Recently, his book ‘Fate Takes A Hand’ was unveiled at Cuttack on March 20, 2019.
