Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay, who retired today, has been appointed as the Chairman of the State Task Force for Narcotic Drugs.
The appointment was given by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
The post holds the rank and status of Chief Secretary.

Abhay today completed his two-year tenure as the Odisha DGP and retired as the chief of the Odisha Police.
He was earlier scheduled to retire in June, this year. However, his tenure was later extended till December 31, 2021 by the State Government.
IPS officer Sunil Kumar Bansal today took charge as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha.
