Former Odisha MLA Rabaneswar Madhei passes away

Former MLA and prominent tribal leader from Odisha Rabaneswar Madhei passed away on Friday night at the district headquarters hospital here, family sources said today.

Madhei was 84 at the time of his demise and is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. He was suffering from Asthma.

Madhei was elected to the Odisha Assembly four times in 1974, 1980, 1985 and 1995.

Family sources said Madhei’s last rites were performed at his native village Jualia under Udala assembly constituency.
