Former Odisha MLA Sahura Mallick passes away

Baliguda: Former Baliguda MLA Sahura Mallick passed away at a hospital here in Odisha’s Kandhamal district, today. He was 85.

Mallick was suffering from age-related ailments and undergoing treatment. He breathed his last early this morning around 4 am.

He was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly thrice (1974, 1980 and 1995) from Baliguda constituency as Congress candidate.

As the news of his death spread, many congress leaders and workers reached his residence to pay last respect to the departed soul.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed grief over the demise of Mallick and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family. Sahura Mallick’s efforts for the development of Baliguda will always be rememberable, the CM tweeted.
