Four Maoists arrested in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Security personnel during combing operations in Kurub forested area in Odisha’s Malkangiri district arrested four Maoists and seized huge quantities of explosives and articles used by Maoists.

Jawans of Special Operations Group (SOG) and District Voluntary Force (DVF) during joint combing operations in Kurub forested area in Malkangiri district have arrested four Maoists Ramnath Madkami, Jaga Madhi, Waga Madkami and Suma, said Malkangiri SP Mitrabhanu Mohapatra briefing reporters here today.

Security personnel apart from destroying a Maoist camp have seized 825 pieces of gelatin sticks and other articles used by Maoists, Mohapatra added.

“They were all members of the Kalimela Dalam and were involved in several cases of Maoist violence,” the SP said.
