Four minor children from Jharkhand rescued in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Jul 17:

The Government Railway Police (GRP), Bhubaneswar with the assistance of a city based NGO SOCH, rescued four minor boys from the railway station premises in the Odisha Capital on Thursday.

The minors, identified as Chandan Kumar (11), Badal Kumar (11), Swad Patra (10) and Golu Kumar (9), are all from Gandhinagar slum of Bagbidi in Jharkhand.

The GRP official said the minors had come to Puri without informing their parents and were rescued from the railway station platform.

“We have conveyed messages to the local railway police in Jharkhand to take the minors with them and hand over them to their parents,” said a police officer of GRP.
