Four more UK returnees test COVID positive in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as four more persons who had returned to Odisha from United Kingdom (UK) have tested positive for COVID-19 amid concern regarding the spread of new strain of the virus in the foreign country.

They have been identified as three persons of Jagatsinghpur district and a man of Bhubaneswar whose four-year-old daughter had earlier tested positive for the virus. All of them tested positive for COVID-19 during RT-PCR test.

With this, the number of UK returnees who have tested positive for the virus till date in the capital city mounted to 3 while that of the state rose to 6. The strain of the virus was being ascertained.

Worth mentioning, as many as 181 persons have returned to Odisha from UK during the last one month, including 88 to Bhubaneswar.
