Jamsola gate staff attack case: Four Odisha BJP leaders sent to jail

Four Odisha BJP leaders including Mayurbhanj district president Krushna Chandra Mohapatra were sent to jail after they surrendered before Mayurbhanj special judge court here today in connection with Jamsola gate staff attack case.

Earlier in the day, Mayurbhanj Jharpokharia police had arrested BJP state executive members Chhotelal Mohanta, Nihar Modi and district treasurer Prakash Agarwal along with Mohapatra on charges of fee collection for party and attacking Jamsola gate staff in 2016.

The court turned down their bail plea and sent all the four to jail in the case after they were produced before the court.

The four are accused of misbehaving the then STO Kulamani Bhoi at Jamsola check gate in May last year. They had allegedly beaten up the check gate staff.
