Fresh spell of heavy rain to lash these Odisha districts from September 11; check details

Bhubaneswar: Due to prevalent monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, thunderstorm with lightning or heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of Odisha after the next 48 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today issued Yellow Warning for three days thereafter, i.e from September 11 to September 13.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Jaisalmer, Ajmer, Guna, Mandla, Pendra Road, Jharsuguda, Digha and thence east-southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal and extends up to 3.1 Km above mean sea level. A fresh cyclonic circulation is likely to form over northwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal around 12th September 2023.”

The highest maximum temperature of 33.0oC was recorded at Malkangiri and Rayagada and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.5oC was recorded at Nabarangapur in the plains of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha.

For Sunday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.09.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.09.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.
