Ganja smuggling: 96 kg cannabis seized, 1 arrested in Khordha

Khordha: Continuing it’s crackdown on ganja smuggling, the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch today seized cannabis weighing 96 kg and arrested a person in this connection at Barabati village under Begunia police limits in Khordha district.

On the basis of reliable information, the STF officials conducted a raid and nabbed one Dinabandhu Mohapatra at Barabati village. The cops later seized the contraband item along with other incremental materials from his possession.

A case has been registered at Begunia police station under Sections 20 (b)(ii)(c) of NDPS Act 1985 for necessary legal action. Further investigation is on in connection with the incident, said the STF officials.
