Rourkela: A 22-year-old girl was allegedly set on fire by a youth she was in love with when the former forced him to marry her in Sector- B area under Bondamunda police limits here in wee hours today.

The deceased has been identified as Asha Nayak of Sector-A here.

As per a complaint lodged by the girl’s father, the girl and one Amit Yadav of Sector- B area were in love relationship for a long time. Though Asha had been approaching the accused to marry her, the latter was refusing to do so.
