Girls outscore boys in Plus Three exam in Odisha’s Ravenshaw University

Girl students have outscored the boys in the annual Plus Three examinations conducted by the Ravenshaw University, results of which were announced on Monday.

Ravesnhaw + 3 resultsOut of a total of 26 disciplines, the girls have emerged toppers in as many as 21 disciplines.

In the Regular course, Abhishikta Bera has emerged as the Best Graduate in the Science stream while Satyanarayan Routray is the Best Graduate in the Vocational stream.

While overall pass percentage is 94.93, the success rate of the girl students is 57.77 percent as against 42.33 percent of success by the boys.

The overall pass percentage in this year’s examination has marginally bettered last year’s examination results, which stood at 94.21.

A total of 1756 students in the Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams had appeared at the examinations.

While the pass rate in the Science stream is 94.2 percent, it is 96.3 in Arts, 98 percent in Commerce and 100 percent in Management.

In the vocational stream, 95.89 percent students have passed in BSc (ITM), 87.2 percent have passed in and BSc (ITS).

Besides, the pass percentage in BBA and HHA is 82.7 and 100 percent respectively.
