Gold seized from Air Asia passengers in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Customs officials this evening foiled flyers’ bid to smuggle gold out of Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Odisha capital.

As per reports, two passengers travelling on Air Asia flight (AK 31) from Kuala Lumpur were apprehended with over one kg gold based on specific intelligence input.

The market value of the precious yellow metal is estimated to be worth over Rs 30 lakh.
