“I am not here to offer myself for continuous scrutiny. I have established my credibility. Intelligence Bureau cleared my name on May 15th. I don’t want any character certificate from anyone except myself,” Subramanium told reporters at his office.

“Nobody could have withstood to such a rubbish like this,” Subramanium said referring to the verification reports in the media.

Gopal Subramanium along with senior counsel Rohinton Nariman and chief justices of two high courts were recommended for appointment as the judge of the Supreme Court.

However, the government cleared all names except his.

Subramanium appeared baffled with the silence of the Supreme Court collegium on his pick and choose by the government.

MR. SUBRAMANIUM SHOULD NEVER EXPECT TO BECOME A JUSTICE IN HONOURABLE SUPREME COURT.

    1. Mr. Subramanium was a member in Justice Verma Committee which was constituted to recommend amendments to the Criminal Law so as to provide for quicker trial and enhanced punishment for criminals accused of committing sexual assault against women after the Nirbhaya case in Delhi.

    2. We all know that Itishree case in Odisha was more pathetic than Nirbhaya Case in Delhi.

    3. One Public Interest Litigation was filed in the Apex Court by Banagalore Law student named Miss Sudipta Lenka for CBI investigation in Itishree case.

    4. All of you will be surprise to know that the renowned advocate Gopal Subrmanium who was member in Justice Verma Committee to give justice to woman was the advocate for opposite side (Odisha State) to object the CBI investigation into Itishree case.

    5. He is the same advocate who is opposing CBI investigation in Mining scam in Odisha in the Public interest litigation filed in Apex Court by Srimati Kalpana Jena of Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

    AND

    6. He is the same advocate who strongly opposed CBI investigation in Mega Chit fund Scam in Odisha on behalf of Odisha Government in the Public Interest Litigation filed by social activist Sri Alok Jena in Honourable Supreme Court (Writ Petition (C) 413 of 2013) but could not be able to help the state government in stopping the CBI investigation into Mega chit Fund Scam.

Hence we cannot expect that one competent advocate can become a good justice.
