Govt employees, public in this Odisha district barred from traveling to hotspot zones

Nabarangpur:  In view of COVID-19 positive cases being reported from different parts of Nabarangpur district everyday, the administration has imposed restrictions on movement of employees of both Government and private organisations and general public to hotspot areas of other districts.

To contain spread of the disease, Collector Ajit Kumar Mishra yesterday issued the following directions:

1- No Government employees as well as private establishments working under Nabarangpur district jurisdiction should proceed to any of the hotspot zones of other districts without prior permission.

2-If any employee working under the district jurisdiction  proceeded to any of the hotspot zones of other district with due permission, he/she will have to compulsorily stay in home quarantine for 14 days adhering to the guidelines issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department

3-No individual should proceed to  to any of the hotspot zones of other district with due permission of concerned Sarpanch, BDO and Executive Officer of ULB.

4-Returnees in rural areas, who are staying under mandatory institutional quarantine for a period of 14 days in different TMCs, whose swab samples has been collected and sent for testing shall not be discharged from the concerned TMC till the result of the swab test is received.

5-Returnees to the district from other districts in respect of both rural and urban areas shall have to compulsorily stay in home quarantine for a period of 14 days, following the guidelines issued by Health and Family Welfare Department, Odisha. If the returnee does not have proper quarantine facility at home, he/she shall undergo institutional/paid quarantine for a duration as directed by the local authorities.

“Any person found violating the containment measures as stipulated supra will be liable to be prosecuted as per law,” the district administration warned.
