Group clash: 12 houses set on fire in Odisha’s Athagarh

Athagarh, Apr 11:
A group clash at Kumarpur village in Athagarh area of Odisha’s Cuttack district turned ugly as 12 houses in Harijan Sahi of the locality were set on fire by a group today.

On being informed, Fire personnel reached the spot and doused the flames.
The residents of Harijan Sahi have alleged that their houses were torched in the presence of police.
Last night, the two groups had clashed with hurling of stones at each other.
Policemen are trying to pacify the members of both groups, reports said, adding that palpable tension prevails in the area.
