Group clash leaves nine injured in Odisha

At least nine persons were injured and two of them seriously when two groups of a minority community clashed over prayers today at the masjid in Madhab under Niali police station limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district, reports said.

The seriously injured were first rushed to the government hospital here and were later shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital at Cuttack as their condition deteriorated, reports added.

Tension ran high in the area following the clash.

Cuttack Sadar SDPO, Gobindpur OIC, Niali IIC are camping in the area to keep a watch on the law and order situation in the area.
