Gruesome! Drunk man hacks four to death in Odisha

Kalahandi: In a gory macabre incident, a man, suspected to in an inebriated condition, allegedly murdered four persons at Palasa village in Odisha’s Kalahandi district.

The incident took place on Palasa-Pipalguda road under Jayapatna police limits of district this evening.

The deceased have been identified as Sudar Nayak, Linga Nayak, Nakula Nayak of one family while another identified as Upi Sabar. All of them belong to Palasa village.

According to police, the accused, identified as Jatindra, has confessed to his crime. He hacked the four persons to death with a sharp weapon after getting heavily drunk, a police official said.

The Jayapatna police has arrested the accused and inquiring whether it was murder due to previous enmity or not.

On being informed, Jayapatna police station Inspector-In-Charge Susanta Kumar Sahu and Dharmagarh DSP Laxminarayan Panda reached the spot and questioned the local residents to ascertain the cause behind the gruesome incident.
