Half-burnt documents of Odisha ponzi firm recovered from river bank

Local people in the Palasuni area on the outskirts of Odisha’s capital city today recovered two bundles of half-burnt money receipts of a ponzi firm, SLB Invest India Ltd from river Kuakhai here.

According to reports, some local fishermen saw two people, who had come in a car, setting some papers on fire near the river bank. Both fled the spot when they realised they had been spotted.

The curious fishermen then recovered bundles of half-burnt  money receipts of SLB Invest India Ltd, a company which has its office at Nayapalli in the city.

“While we were busy fishing, we saw two people fleeing after torching some papers on the river bank and got curious,” said a fisherman of nearby village.

Some of the documents had names and addresses of persons from Western Odisha districts with their deposited amount mentioned in the money receipts.

The matter is being investigated by the police, sources said.

It may be mentioned here that a similar incident had taken place in the capital city, where the police had seized a large number documents of Swastik India chit fund company from a drain near Rasulgarh area.
