‘Handover unutilised govt properties to Mission Shakti groups’

Bhubaneswar: Reiterating his government’s priority for women development, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed the district administrations to handover unutilised government properties to Mission Shakti Mahasanghs in the State.

In a virtual meeting with the District Collectors, the Chief Minister directed them to provide government buildings, shops, ponds and other properties, which have not been in use, to the Mission Shakti Mahasanghs functioning at different levels within two months.

He further stated the Mission Shakti Mahasanghs will utilize such government properties, thereby helping women self help groups (SHGs) in the State to get benefitted socially and economically.

Worth mentioning, the State government set up the Mission Shakti department last month with an aim to empower women SHGs socially and economically.
