Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: Team India cricketer Hardik Pandya has landed in trouble as the Customs Department seized two wrist watches worth Rs 5 crore possessed by him at the Mumbai Airport, late on Sunday night.

The incident took place when Team India players were returning home from Dubai after the T20 World Cup.

The customs officials found Hardik in possession of the two wrist watches. He did not have the bill receipt of the luxury watches, for which the valuables were seized, reports said.

Last year, his brother and cricketer Krunal Pandya was detained at the T2 International Airport in Mumbai by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) for allegedly possessing undisclosed high-end watches and gold worth around Rs 1 crore.

Worth mentioning, Hardik has collection of most expensive watches in the world, including Patek Philippe Nautilus Platinum 5711 that costs over Rs 5 crore.

Earlier in August, Hardik had taken to Instagram to post a photo of his luxurious watch.
