The Havildar, Sepoy and Constable Mahasangh of Odisha has threatened to go for a cease-work agitation beginning January 25 if their 15-point charter of demands is not met.

While briefing media persons on Monday, the Mahasangh leaders said all members of the Mahasangh will wear black badges on January 24 to press for their demands.

"We will resort to cease-work from January 25 if the government fails to fulfill our demands," they said

Compensation of Rs one crore for the family of those killed in action is one of the principal demands of the Mahasangh apart from revision in grade pay and bike allowance.
