The Committee has also given a Western Odisha Bandh call on September 19, coinciding with the elections to 66 urban local bodies in 21 districts, excluding the western region.

Briefing newsmen after a meeting with representatives of different bar associations of the western Odisha region here on Sunday, CAC convener Ashok Dash said “The Committee has decided to observe bandh on September 19 in protest against the gross apathy of the state government towards our genuine demand for a permanent High Court Bench. We will paralyse all government offices in the region from tomorrow.”

He also informed that the Committee would discuss its future course of the agitation after a meeting with the MLAs and MPs of the region at Sundargarh on October 6.
