The hearing on the appeal by Reliance Infra against Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC)’s March 4 order revoking the licenses of the three electricity distribution companies (discoms) – WESCO, NESCO and SOUTHCO – owned by it at the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (ATE) concluded today and the verdict was reserved.

“The tribunal today heard the arguments on the interim application where the GRIDCO and OERC opposed the same. The tribunal has reserved its verdict and would deliver it soon,” said Director OERC, Priyabrata Patnaik.

It may be recalled that Reliance Infra had moved the ATE against the OERC order after it revoked the licenses of the three discoms on the grounds of ‘unsatisfactory performance.’
