The hearing in the apex court on Shah Commission's report on the huge mining scam in Odisha which was to begin today has been deferred to February 10, sources said.

The hearing in the matter will be taken up in the Supreme Court from February 10 and continue till February 17, sources added.

The court has asked the Union government to submit a fresh affidavit in the matter.

Earlier, the Union government had expressed its inability to submit the report of the Shah Commission to the court on the ground that it was yet to be tabled in the House as is required under the statutes.
