Heat wave in Odisha: 5 places record temperature above 40 degree C

Bhubaneswar: Summer has just begun and scorching heat has started gripping many parts of the state as the mercury crossed 40 degree Celsius in  five stations today.

As per the weathermen, Talcher recorded the highest temperature of 41.1 degree Celsius  followed by Titilagarh (41), Balangir (40.7), Boudh (40.5) , Jharsuguda (39.4) and Nayagarh (39.7).

On the other hand, Port City Paradip recorded the lowest temperature of 32.2 degree Celsius.

The regional MeT centre predicted that the maximum temperature is very likely to rise by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in interior and coastal Odisha in next two days.
