Heat wave in Odisha to continue for three more days

There was no let-up in the heat wave that swept across Odisha, mostly the interior region, today.

While Bhawanipatna and Titlagarh remained the two hottest places in the state at 42 degree Celsius each, the mercury shot up to 40 degrees and above in Angul (40.3), Sambalpur (40.3), Sundargarh (40), Hirakud (40.5), Talcher (41), Bolangir (40) and Malkangiri (40).

Besides, temperature rose to almost 40 degrees mark in Bhubaneswar (39.7), Jharsuguda (39.6), Phulbani (39.2) and Sonepur (39.8).

The Met office has warned that the heat wave would continuefor the next 72 hours while there is possibility of rain or thundershower at some places on April 10.
